The best Class IV summer rafting trip near Portland, Oregon is the White Salmon River. This beautiful river is fed by glaciers on the South side of Mount Adams and ends in the Columbia River.
Your Time on the River
White Salmon trips begin in Southern Washington. You'll be introduced to the basics of paddling and rafting and hear a safety orientation before beginning a short hike into the river canyon. As the sound of the river grows louder, you'll break through the trees and are greeted with the White Salmon in all its glory. Continuous Class III/IV rapids will have your adrenaline pumping, and in between rapids you'll be able to take a breath and enjoy the scenery as you float past lush vegetation and abundant wildlife.
Note: We are not currently running trips on the White Salmon, but we can book a trip for you with our friends over at River Drifters. You can call them directly or call us at (541) 450-9855 to get you and your group on the White Salmon asap.
