Wild Rivers Night 2016 Recap
Last Thursday was the 6th annual Wild Rivers Night at the Patagonia Store in Portland. Over 300 river enthusiasts joined to celebrate wild rivers in and around Oregon.
Once again writer, photographer, and speaker Tim Palmer was the emcee. He followed up opening remarks with a slide show of his 216 mile trip down the Rogue River.

Bearfoot Brad
Nate Wilson premiered his new film about Bearfoot Brad and the North Fork of the Smith River.
Baldface Creek in the headwaters of the North Fork of the Smith River is threatened by large scale nickel mining. For more information on the threats and what you can do to help, please visit kalmiopsiswildrivers.org.
UPRIVER
Jeremy Monroe of Freshwater Illustrated showed an abbreviated version of this 30 minute film about the the Willamette River.

Behind the Emerald Curtain
Pacific Rivers showed an abbreviated version of their new film Behind the Emerald Curtain about the shameful inadequacy of our Oregon State Forest Practices Act.
Owyhee River Presentation
Robyn Jansssen of Rogue Riverkeeper and shared a slideshow from river trips down the Owyhee River.

Wild Rivers Night 2016

We just finished another amazing Wild Rivers Night at the KEEN Garage in Portland. This year we had over 200 people join us from as far away as Los Angeles, Berkeley, Reno, and Seattle. We celebrated wild rivers with presentations on river conservation, a silent auction of gorgeous river photography, and enjoyed beverages donated by Sierra Nevada, and Springhouse Cellars.
