This is a workshop we’ve been offering our instructors for a few years that we want to make available to other river educators. In this course we’ll have a focus on teaching whitewater using Kolb’s Cycle of Experiential Learning.
What to Expect
Participants will be expected to give two presentations and will receive feedback from their peers. Here is a general outline about what to expect.
- You’ll receive our curriculum and content for lessons plans after you register
- Two topics will be assigned to you
- We’ll begin the workshop with a discussion about experiential learning
- Each participant will deliver lessons based on their lesson plan
- Peers will provide anonymous feedback on each lesson
Giving a Presentation and Receiving Feedback is a Key Component of this Workshop
