After arriving in camp, there's ample time to hike, relax, read, fish or play games. Northwest's river guides provide healthy, delicious meals with plenty of fresh fruits and veggies. You'll enjoy a hot breakfast each morning, a hearty lunch served riverside, and a full dinner complete with appetizers and desserts.

Join us as we visit the the "Land of the Thunder Dragon" for yoga, rafting, and hiking. We'll visit active monasteries and Dzongs (400+ year old fortresses) in this Buddhist kingdom nestled between India and China. This is different from Susan's river trips on the Rogue and Middle Fork of the Salmon - we'll stay in hotels each night as we move around the country. We'll also do a two day, one night trek from Thimphu to Punakha that takes us into rural areas that few visitors see.

This is perfect for those who like "non-touristy" travel and a chance to immerse yourself in a new culture. Our diverse itinerary includes everything from hiking to participating in Buddhist ceremonies to shopping in the local marketplaces.
